Pasta with Ham, Peas and Cream

34
Feel like a quick and easy meal that also brings back childhood memories? This pasta dish is so easy to make and only has a handful of ingredients, most of them you will even have in your pantry or freezer!
I had some left-over pasta sheets from a Lasagne that I made a few weeks ago, which I had put in the freezer to keep. Tonight is one of those nights, where I just crave something quick, easy and simple.
I defrosted the pasta and cut it into strips to make homemade tagliatelle, whipped up the sauce and voilá, dinner was ready. Enjoy!
Pasta with Ham, Peas and Cream (serves 2)
300g fresh pasta (or slightly less if using dried)
150g frozen peas
200ml cream
200g diced ham
1/3 cup shaved parmesan
1 pinch nutmeg
Salt and Pepper to taste

Boil the pasta according to packet instructions in plenty of salty of salted water. After 5 minutes add the frozen peas to the water. When cooked, drain with the peas.
Put the dry pan back on the stove with the cream, ham, parmesan and nutmeg and warm it through.
Add the pasta and peas back to the pan, tossing everything together well.
